Project Unnati 2023-24 - Empowering Women. Transforming Generations
At Vaghmi Foundation, we believe that when a woman becomes financially independent, an entire family rises. Project Unnati is a women’s skill development initiative implemented as a CSR initiative by Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., designed to create sustainable livelihood opportunities for rural women. This project focused on school dropout women from underserved communities, providing them with skills, confidence, dignity, and a pathway to self-reliance.
Where Change Began: Project Unnati was implemented across 60 villages in the Khed Rajgurunagar region, reaching women who had the determination to work but lacked access to opportunities. 604 school dropout women (Age 18–40) were identified — each with a dream to support her family and build a better future. This initiative did not just provide training — it helped them rewrite their life stories.
