Support to Food Centers
Our Relief Strategy In disaster response, support must be systematic and need-based, not just immediate. Vaghmi Foundation first coordinated with the district Collectorate and local authorities to understand: Existing relief mechanisms Data on affected families Materials already distributed Gaps where communities were still underserved. This approach ensured that assistance reached genuinely affected families and avoided duplication of relief. Ground-level assessments were conducted before every major distribution activity.
Immediate Support Provided
After verification and coordination, the foundation provided urgent assistance in the flood-affected regions:
Drinking Water: 20-litre water cans supported by TomTom India and Bajaj
Clothing: Donated garments for displaced families
Food & Essentials: Community-supported grains and essential supplies
Support to Food Centers: Provision of grains and staples to community kitchens serving victims.
Transparency & Accountability
The entire relief process — from coordination with authorities to beneficiary verification and distribution — was documented.
A video detailing this structured response was released to promote transparency and responsible disaster management.
Our Guiding Principle
Responsible relief is not only about helping — it is about ensuring the right help reaches the right people.
