As part of our commitment to sustainable environmental practices, the Tenneco Clean Air India Ltd. Tree Plantation Initiative, implemented with the Vaghmi Foundation, includes the development of two groundwater harvesting pits within the plantation site.
This initiative strengthens the overall project by: Enhancing water conservation efforts Supporting plant growth during dry seasons Contributing to long-term ecological sustainability Promoting responsible water management practices
🌿 Purpose The groundwater harvesting pits are designed to: Recharge underground water levels Ensure sustainable water availability for the plantation Reduce surface runoff and water wastage Support long-term survival of planted saplings
⚙️ Key Features Construction of 2 scientifically designed recharge pits Collection and percolation of rainwater into the soil Integration with the plantation layout for efficient water use Low-maintenance and eco-friendly structure.
