Tenneco Air Clean Tree Plantation Project
At Vaghmi Foundation, we are committed to driving sustainable environmental change through impactful on-ground initiatives. In collaboration with Tenneco Air Clean, we implemented large-scale tree plantation projects across multiple Army areas.
This initiative is actively contributing to: Restoration of green cover and biodiversity Creation of habitats for birds and local wildlife Reduction in temperature and environmental stress Improvement in air quality and ecological balance With a strong focus on sustainability and survival, this project is designed to create a lasting environmental impact for future generations.
Project Locations: This initiative has been successfully carried out across key locations, including: Agnibaaz, Dunkerk Lines, 512 Khadki, Lullanagar, 15 Battalion of the Jat Regiment.
Why This Project Was Needed: Rapid urban development and road widening in the region led to the cutting of over 100,000 trees, creating a serious environmental imbalance. Loss of habitat for birds and local wildlife Increase in temperature and heat conditions Decline in air quality and green cover Noticeable environmental degradation To restore this balance, Vaghmi Foundation identified over 100 acres of Army land as a secure and sustainable space for large-scale plantation.
What We Did: Planted over 10,000 native trees across Army areas Executed plantation of 5,000 trees at the 15 Battalion of the Jat Regiment site Developed 2 groundwater harvesting pits to support water conservation Ensured scientific plantation methods and long-term maintenance.
